The OFSCN® fiber optic stress / strain sensor is a distributed fiber optic sensor designed based on the professional BOTDR and BOTDA principles, which can be used for stress / strain testing in various environments.
The OFSCN® fiber optic stress / strain sensor consists of a fiber optic connector, a tightly wrapped stress / strain sensing fiber, a layer-stranded FRP reinforcement, and a polyethylene sheath. The tightly wrapped optical fiber is in direct contact with the FRP reinforcement and the outer sheath, allowing it to sense external stress / strain changes in real-time. The unique FRP layer-stranding structure design makes the OFSCN® fiber optic stress / strain sensor less affected by environmental temperature changes during stress / strain measurements.
The OFSCN® fiber optic stress / strain sensor is particularly suitable for deployment through burial, embedding, pre-burial, etc., and has a wide range of applications in the monitoring of large-scale building health, geological subsidence, pipeline deformation, and more.
